Meet Our Staff
Dr. & Mrs. James E. Dees Jr.
In September of 1985 Dr. James E. Dees Jr. became our pastor. Dr. Dees is an able preacher and teacher of God's Word. It is his sole desire to serve God through the local church, seeking to lead people to Jesus and strengthen the believer. Dr. Dees has earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Religion with a minor in Social Work., graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He earned his Master of Divinity degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctorate of Ministry at Trinity Theological Seminary graduating with distinction with special studies in Pastoral Ministries. Dr. Dees is married to Luanne who is a Registered Nurse. They have two children, a son, Jamie, and a daughter Amber.

Joyce Johnson, pictured here with her husband Danny, became the Administrative Assistant for Clement Baptist Church in February 2006. Her office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Over the years, Joyce has served the Lord in many ways here at Clement. She has taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, served as a G.A. Leader, Tape Ministry Team Member, Faith Team Learner and Leader, serves as the Evangelistic Director, just to name a few things she does and has done.
Joyce is a graduate of Sampson Technical Institute. She enjoys reading, working crossword puzzles, music, antiques, and serving the Lord whenever led, or called upon to do so.
